Another dramatic success for Brain Chase Coles!

Brain Chase Coles team at the Chamber lunch
Brain Chase Coles Solicitors listened to legal ‘ailments’, prescribed the best ‘medicine’ and explained the ways to ensure excellent legal ‘health’ at the November lunch of the North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce held at Audley’s Wood Hotel today.
Following last year’s lively presentation about divorce and separation following the Mills McCartney case, the team donned their white coats to act out a sketch set in a doctor’s surgery. To the sounds of the theme from ‘Casualty’, Partner Jonathan Coles welcomed the next ‘patients’, Albert and his sister Marjorie (Nick Massey-Chase and wife Lynne) who entertained the audience superbly as the confused brother and sister left in charge of their ‘Uncle Stanley’s’ will. Guiding them through the legal maze of making a will and the importance of Power of Attorney was Head of Wills and Probate Sarah Palmer who very convincingly handled the wayward couple! Cristiane Taylor, Litigation Solicitor then took them through the process of handling their sitting tenant in ‘Uncle Stanley’s’ rented house, while Jonathan Coles completed the trio of ‘specialists’ talking about selling the aforementioned flat and the need for a Home Information Pack (HIP). Marjorie caused much hilarity confusing the medical and legal meanings of the word with a discussion about ‘hip replacements’!
Brain Chase Coles has over 30 years experience advising private and commercial customers across North Hampshire and is based in Basingstoke. In addition to Property, Litigation and Wills and Probate it also has a large family law department expert in handling divorce and separation and is one of only two firms in the town offering a separate Mediation service.

“We were delighted to host another Chamber lunch following the success of last year’s event. We wanted to ensure that we once again entertained the audience with something a little different while explaining the key things to remember when handling probate matters. Through our ‘clinic’, helped by some excellent amateur dramatics, I think we successfully managed to convey these serious messages in a more light hearted way!”
